Saturday: Beginning in the early afternoon, 1,000s of people start to fill the street and the bordering park areas of the Cinta Costera. The afternoon and evening play host to a series of events, including live bands playing salsa, reggae, reggaetone, and Panamanian folk music. The atmosphere is transformed from an ordinary street into an enormous street party where everyone is drinking, dancing and socializing.

Ingredients
8 cups finely diced seedless watermelon, (about 6 pounds with the rind) (see Tip)
1 medium cucumber, peeled, seeded and finely diced
1/2 red bell pepper, finely diced
1/4 cup chopped fresh basil
1/4 cup chopped flat-leaf parsley
3 tablespoons red-wine vinegar
2 tablespoons minced shallot
2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
3/4 teaspoon salt
Preparation
Mix watermelon, cucumber, bell pepper, basil, parsley, vinegar, shallot, oil and salt in a large bowl. Puree 3 cups of the mixture in a blender or food processor to the desired smoothness; transfer to another large bowl. Puree another 3 cups and add to the bowl. Stir in the remaining diced mixture. Serve at room temperature or chilled.
Confession time! I am a complete freak for sauce. Food for me is just a vessel for the many sauces I consume. Top of my list includes A-1 sauce. My favorite food vessels for this sauce are burgers and oddly enough mashed potatoes.

Nothing cures the mid-week blues like a late night karaoke with your peeps at the Old Crow on Lower Greenville!
This place is staple of LG and has been around for such a long time. Karaoke starts at 9pm on Wednesday- come early, sing late, tip the staff generously and grab a slice at Greenville Avenue Pizza Company after.
A southern favorite for sure and easy to mix up quickly. Tops our list of favorite snacks!
If you think about it, biscuits and gravy are the perfect pair. Joined together as compliments to one another. With each bite, we trust that the creamy goodness of the gravy will cover the flaky texture of the biscuit in a blanket of warmth – one never overpowering the other. Southern comfort food at its finest!
