Aruba Ariba!

Lit’s list for Aruba:

Explore Palm Beach, Aruba

Expect white sands, blue ocean and fun in the sun! Palm beach is a place I revisit in my dreams. To maximize the fun, bring your own float and water toys. We spent most of our time lounging under the palapa, reading, eating, drinking, exploring and floating. The perfect vacay for two people who need a little R&R.

Food, Drink and Fun

We religiously ended up at Bugaloe every-single-night. The happy hour specials were amazing, the karaoke was awesome and the family fun was unexpected. I honestly wanted to leave my day job and move to Aruba just to get hired on as part of the wait staff who sang like they had a previous job in Vegas entertaining dinner guests. Everyone here is ready for a good time and super friendly so bring your positive beach vibes and get ready to sing-a-long with your favorite tunes.

Lets talk about Dutch pancakes – its like a crepe and pancake had a baby and it is delicious! Since Aruba is a Dutch owned island, get into the local flavor by starting your day at Diana’s Pancakes Place right off of Palm Beach along the strip. I would highly recommend the apple pancake. It was our favorite out of the two pictured above.

Another favorite spot we visited frequently for lunch and dinner was Salt and Pepper. The most memorable meal was the Dutch split pea soup which I ended up coming home and making on the regular after being introduced to this traditional staple. Of course it will never taste exactly the same but still brings back memories of the great food here. You will love the ambiance as the walls are filled with cheeky signs and their namesake salt and pepper shakers from all over the world.
